Rule of thumb: the world we be a better place if we all did what @muteswann.bsky.social said.

Case in point.
“It shows how porous the boundaries are between money, access, and power in our democracy. That should be a wake-up call to strengthen our rules on political funding and influence”

The principle reason for the rotten, deadly mess we’re in today is this: over the decades the rich bought up political parties with donations turning government into a corporate plaything which works against the interests of the people

From that all miseries flowed

In @heraldscotland.bsky.social
'How can Sarwar be trusted on transport now?'
Rich donors have corroded our democracy by turning it into their plaything and undermining the interests of the people. It is time for that to end,…

We urge David Lammy to immediately authorise a senior official to meet with the legal representatives of Heba Muraisi & Kamran Ahmed - both on prolonged hunger strike & at extreme risk of death.

Their representatives have repeatedly requested this meeting & it is now critical to prevent a tragedy.

As we mark International Day to End Conversion Therapy today, it's a painful reminded that the SNP backeddown from a manifesto commitment, meaning we won't see an end to these dangerous practices in Scotland until after the election at the earliest.

This is ridiculous. There clearly has not been a 660% increase in terrorism
in the UK over the past year.

How much is it costing the criminal justice system to arrest and prosecute all these people for the crime of wearing a t-shirt or holding a placard?

Terrorism arrests soar by 660% after Palestine Action ban
Official figures show 1,630, or 86%, of the 1,886 arrests for terrorism-related activity in the year to the end of September 2025 were linked to supporting the group.

All I want for Xmas is a world where people don’t have to point “firing racists is a good thing to do”
Okay, let's reframe this. An independent coffee shop hires someone who then racially abuses their customers. Is it then okay to fire them?

You cannot try and say someone should not be fired for abusing customers just because the company firing them is large.

Firing racists is a good thing to do.
