Light pollution is stealing our view of the stars ⭐

Protecting dark skies isn’t just for astronomers – it’s about preserving a universal right to see the cosmos.

Light pollution is encroaching on observatories around the globe – making it harder for astronomers to study the cosmos
Some observatories that used to be dark and remote are now adjacent to bright urban centers. And sending all telescopes into space isn’t a viable solution.

Republicans paint programs they want to cut like the green bank, environmental justice grants, and clean energy incentives as government waste, but these programs create jobs, reduce toxic pollution, and lower energy bills. The real waste? The GOP’s $170 billion giveaway to Big Oil.

The disparity btwn what’s actually happening in Los Angeles and the way it’s being mischaracterized is one of the biggest stress tests of modern media in recent memory. Botted socials, AI, old clips, declining literacy—it’s like seeing a broken emergency response system hit by a storm.

Raising the $7.25 an hour minimum wage to a living wage is not a radical idea.

Since 2020, voters in Florida, Nebraska, Missouri & Alaska approved a major increase in their minimum wage.

What’s radical is that the federal minimum wage has not gone up since 2009.

Good morning.

If the Republican budget bill passes:

- 40% of the country will lose money
- 15 million people will lose their health care
- the richest families will get a $270,000 tax cut
- the debt will go up 2.4 TRILLION dollars

Who is asking for that??

When a cause for infertility is known, the male partner is solely responsible for 20% of cases & contributes to 30-40% of all cases. Yet many men don't get tested before their female partner tries IVF. And societally women bear the burden of infertility.

The White House wants women to have more babies. They're ignoring part of the problem — men.
For almost half of all infertility cases, male infertility is a contributing factor. However, the majority of the emotional and physical burden falls on the women.

Privatized ICE detention facilities are funded by our tax dollars through gov contracts that pay fees per inmate. They are given quotas and financial incentives to pack the places with maximum prisoners and to cut corners on food and overall living conditions. We pay the cost; they reap the profits.

Today is my son's first birthday.

He was born 8 weeks early. We spent 54 days in a NICU. Then we relied on Waypoint for continued care.

Tens of thousands of Granite State kids rely on Medicaid for that same help. I'm going to fight like hell to protect it.
