Color junkie. I admit it -color drives my visual world. As does structure and composition. I imagine it’s the same for hummingbirds. This week the rufous hummers arrived, buzzing and flashing in my barren garden. But soon to be awash in color once more. #photographersunited #birds #hummingbirds

Winter arrival. I remember when Sandhill cranes were endangered. Lead pollution in the wetlands and general environmental decline led to the enactment of the EPA here, and their efforts are a proven success. The crane’s song can be heard once again. #photographersunited #birds #wildliferefuge
