Target has been acquired. This little owl hovered over this spot for a bit before landing without catching his intended prey. I really like the light and the colors in this little scene of an owl hunting for snacks.

Yesterday was my birthday & this owl came flying by to celebrate with me!
It was so cold & windy that at one point I was having trouble holding my camera still. So worth it.

Thought this owl was going to take off towards the right but he jumped and turned around which caused the wind to push his wing in front of his face.

Pro tip: In the forest moss works well to get schmutz off your beak.

Happy New Year!
I intended to retire this month but was laid off mid-2025 and decided just be retired. No resolutions for me, just a mile long to-do list, some items are chores but luckily most are fun, like photography!
