As some might know, I was in Charleroi (Belgium) 2023-2024, and finally I can show off what I was doing there! I was working on The Polar Bear Prince!

I really really need you guys to make a conscious rejection of generative AI tools part of your ongoing political resistance.
Don't use ChatGPT. Turn off Gemini. Don't read the AI results forced upon you at the top of Google search. Don't use AI art generators or support anyone who does. Please.

Oh please please i am begging, don't use generative AI for any reason if you can avoid it.
It's being marketed as a quick time-saver, but it's messy, inaccurate, it is putting entire industries of people out of work, and the environmental impacts (energy and water usage) are huge and debilitating.

I still find the brutalist to be the absolute best movie I saw in recent years.
That's why the MJ use is so fucking disheartening. The fact that a director working on a filmmaking craftsmanship like this is so ready to throw fellow artist under the bus, and disregard the harms of generative ai usage

That's exactly why it sucks so bad. Because it was unnecessary, and completely undermines the spirit of the film about human creation.
So what if “Brutalist” used AI for some buildings and the Hungarian accent? It doesn’t diminish the creative or emotional power of the film at all. The smear campaign is both ugly and stupid, as if using AI is something new or inherently cheating.
