I was today years old when I realized that people call their thin little dogs "iggys" because they're Italian greyhounds. I. G. Sheesh that took me far too long.

Brooklyn Botanic Garden had a rare blooming of its "corpse flower" plant so we went to see (and smell) it. It didn't disappoint in either category.

Today had a couple of firsts: first time I slipped on a subway platform and landed flat on my back (I'm fine) and first time seeing someone clip their fingernails on a subway train. I could have done without either.

In my yoga class, the instructor is always saying things like "keep your gaze forward"or "your gaze should be level" and...you know where my mind goes, right?
