I cannot begin to properly articulate how upsetting it is to have had people baselessly accuse trans people of being groomers and pedophiles only for it to come out that they were deliberately doing this as part of a project to provide cover to actual groomers and pedophiles in positions of power

Every year, on cue, people start referring to the Fall time change as "Daylight Savings Time", when, in fact, it's the opposite.

Peaceful protest and civil disobedience are not "rebellion".
You know what rebellion is? Storming the Capitol, attacking our representatives, disrupting the peaceful transfer of power, threatening to hang the Vice President.

Watching corporate America and academia crumble to authoritarian power simultaneously makes it clear how symbiotic they've become in the post-Reagan neoliberal era. There's no discernible difference between CEOs and university chancellors or presidents despite their performative "values" statements.

We all figured AI would eventually destroy humanity, we just kind of assumed it would be with nuclear missiles and killer robots, not by taking our jobs and making us stupid. We figured we had that part well in hand with just exploitative capitalism. But why break what ain't fixed, I guess?

It absolutely matters here that Pritzker was effective at sounding the alarm and plainly stating this would be unconstitutional in a profoundly radical and fundamental way, and showing he could rally practical popular opposition, which then gets spun as backing out over "legal headaches."
