I cannot begin to properly articulate how upsetting it is to have had people baselessly accuse trans people of being groomers and pedophiles only for it to come out that they were deliberately doing this as part of a project to provide cover to actual groomers and pedophiles in positions of power

Every year, on cue, people start referring to the Fall time change as "Daylight Savings Time", when, in fact, it's the opposite.

I think this is the single greatest proof of the Mandela Effect. Or the Blue and Gold Dress Effect.

"If you don't work, you don't eat"

At once the most absurdly privileged and monstrously inhumane expression of cruelty I've heard lately.

It's the voice of the slave master, the sweatshop owner, the prison camp guard--unethical and unworthy of our democracy.

No one has to "earn" the right to eat.

I'm excited to share that we've got another edition of Gender Queer on the way for next spring! This one is annotated by queer and trans authors, comics scholars, and multiple people who appear in the book as characters 🏳️‍⚧️🏳️‍🌈📚

Peaceful protest and civil disobedience are not "rebellion".

You know what rebellion is? Storming the Capitol, attacking our representatives, disrupting the peaceful transfer of power, threatening to hang the Vice President.

Those same traitorous rebels are now working for ICE.

Trump's failing regime is now reduced to just making up imaginary war zones and street battles against "terrorists" in chicken and frog costumes to justify their illegal use of military and federal law enforcement personnel against American cities. 🐔🐸🪖

It would be laughable but for the fascism.

Let's be clear: Hegseth and Trump just declared war on the American people and gave military leadership the order to wage that war in our cities, against our citizens.

If this isn't enough to impeach and remove this regime, then we've already surrendered to tyranny.

So, they summoned every military leader in our armed forces for a misogyny summit and authoritarian pep rally. And made taxpayers foot the bill, while endangering national security globally. Got it.
Hegseth: "Today, at my direction, each service will ensure that every requirement for every combat MOS, for every designated combat arms position, returns to the highest male standard only."

Oh. I see. Disney put Kimmel back on the air to salvage its subscriber base...two days before they announced a new price increase. 🤔

There is never enough cynicism to go around, even when I try to stockpile it for emergencies.

Repeat: There were NO trans people involved in the murder of Charlie Kirk. The FBI's own evidence proves this.

It's the existence of a trans person in the shooter's life that's held up as evidence, because it's their existence that facsists consider a crime.

Watching corporate America and academia crumble to authoritarian power simultaneously makes it clear how symbiotic they've become in the post-Reagan neoliberal era. There's no discernible difference between CEOs and university chancellors or presidents despite their performative "values" statements.

We all figured AI would eventually destroy humanity, we just kind of assumed it would be with nuclear missiles and killer robots, not by taking our jobs and making us stupid. We figured we had that part well in hand with just exploitative capitalism. But why break what ain't fixed, I guess?

It absolutely matters here that Pritzker was effective at sounding the alarm and plainly stating this would be unconstitutional in a profoundly radical and fundamental way, and showing he could rally practical popular opposition, which then gets spun as backing out over "legal headaches."

People missing an important point about folks getting fired for whatever they said about Charlie Kirk: Americans are being conditioned to be snitches on their fellow citizens who don’t toe a party line on what is “allowed” to be expressed. And employers are going along. It’s the new secret police

Does anyone really believe that genuflecting at the altar of "civil discourse" will stop Trump and his MAGA-fascists from using violence, terror, or intimidation against their enemies? That's not how fascism works. We won't sweet-talk our way out of it. Speak truth, not comforting platitudes.
