Picked up another copy of The Jenguin Pennings (Paul Jennings 1963) today at a second-hand book stall, a collection of comic essays which will obviously delight fans of the Meaning Of Liff, by pressing British road signs into redolent and carefully worded everyday definitions 20 years beforehand.
