Is a "promise of a vote" the same thing as a "concept of a plan?" These feckless idiots.

Jarvis: I hate to say this to my friends here at CNN, mass media is dying, so they're taking the last of these vestiges of institutions that matter and they're trying to turn them into propaganda organs under threat from the head of the FCC

White House official Lindsey Halligan: "While slavery is obviously a horrible aspect of our nation's history, you can't really talk about slavery honestly unless you also talk about hope and progress ... we need to stop focusing so much on the lack of progress."

RIP Marlene Warfield, a consistently wonderful actress who came very close to stealing the movie Network in these two minutes. (She died at 83 in April; her passing was just made public.) www.youtube.com/watch?time_c...

A message for @governor.ca.gov Gavin Newsom.

16 years ago, as mayor of SF, you, citing the constitution you swore to uphold, opened the door to same-sex marriage in California. My wife & I were one of the couples who raced up to SF to get married. 1/4

Is anyone else having a hard time living life while now knowing our impotence against our government using masked marauders to snatch people off the street, off their jobs, out of their homes, and building literal detention camps? Knowing now: we are the citizens of Germany in the 1930’s? Nightmare.

That this is going on I our country is horrific. The stuff of nightmares. The one thug actually says, "we're just following orders." Are you kidding me???
I’m choked up seeing this—it’s shameful.

Iranian refugees got snatched by “immigration agents” dressed like bounty hunters in West LA’s Sawtelle neighborhood.

We’re really about to send them back to a country we just bombed? A regime known for jailing, torturing, and killing its own people?

Even when the poll info is good, this “performance” by Harry Enten is so gross. WE ARE NOT LIVING IN A GAME SHOW.
Harry Enten: "I think we can say Donald Trump has lost the political battle when it comes to what has happened in Los Angeles. Trump's net approval rating on LA - way, way underwater at -15 points... this is happening on what should be on Donald Trump's best issue ... he's losing on his core issue"

I want to kiss this caller on the mouth. Not so much for her apt description of Trump, but for her succinct description of Joe Biden’s presidency, which was conducted with normalcy and competence. It’s well worth a listen.
C-SPAN caller to Tapper: "When are you going to examine what's going on with Trump? ... this president has been pure chaos, which indicates to me that there is something wrong with him. We will never get a straight answer on his medical exam, and yet you have gone after Joe Biden with a vengeance."

Moving moment at today’s Pasadena March… a woman in a car driving down Colorado Blvd, taking in the seemingly endless line of good citizens with their signs and enthusiasm, and wiping away tears as the car inched along. Felt it in my soul. #nokings

It's been really demoralizng how much the press mindlessly repeats the lie that the National Guard was sent to quell violence.

It was sent to start violence. People know this, so just say it.

This asshole. (Pete Hegseth, to be crystal clear.)
Harvey Milk served his country honorably — first in uniform, then in public office.

Taking his name off this Navy ship sends a clear message, and it’s one of disrespect and cruelty.

The absolute disgrace taking place today in front of cameras in the White House is yet another reminder that for all the talk of Joe Biden's failures, the people who failed America the most are our citizens. Empowering this guy (again) was a foreseeable disaster we'll be lucky to survive.

BREAKING: The Supreme Court holds that the Trump administration violated the due process rights of Venezuelan migrants last month in its rushed effort to expel them to El Salvador in the middle of the night (which SCOTUS blocked). Alito and Thomas dissent. www.documentcloud.org/documents/25...

Reporter: The president fired the Librarian of Congress. Why?

Leavitt: There were quite concerning things she had done at the Library of Congress in the pursuit of DEI and putting inappropriate books in the library for children.

I wish we had 500 Maxwell Frosts.
Frost: You want to talk about courts but the highest court in the land told Donald Trump what to do. Facilitate him coming back to the country. And guess what they did? They flipped the bird to the supreme court. That is not the rule of law
