It's nice to have the kid home for Thanksgiving week. The house is more alive, and it encourages me to cook and bake. Tonight she just wanted pizza, but I've made bread and I'll do more and some lemon cake and brownies later this week. Squash is cooking in the oven for events later.

Hey, @CNN, hitting a Russian weapons depot—a perfectly reasonable military target—isn't a "major escalation". The Russian invasion of Ukraine with the intent to conquer it WAS a major escalation. Ukraine's self defense is not.

I hope legislators retain Social Security's Windfall Elimination Provision. Repealing it would benefit states where state employees don't contribute to Social Security, giving them privileges and bankrupting Social Security for the rest of us.
