Nothing chills my data privacy soul like JD Vance saying they’ll “save TikTok while protecting national security.” That’s right up there with “trust me, I’m a good guy” and “hey little girl, want some candy?”

I’m not a Colbert or Kimmel stan, but I am a ride-or-die for free speech. Once it’s gone, it doesn’t come back in four years—it becomes a story we tell our kids, like “baloney used to be 25¢ a pound… and I used to have free speech.”

When the billionaire Patrick Drahi bought Sotheby’s, some people in the art world speculated that he would hollow out one of the world’s great auction houses, turning it from an institution of taste and knowledge into something much more generic.

Civil war won’t free us—it never has. The 1% didn’t fight the last one, but the 99% died for them. When it ended, the same elite stayed in power. War only kills us, not them. Don’t die for their empire; fight smarter, not bloodier.

It won’t look like neighbors running to report you to the Gestapo. It’ll look like HR emails warning staff to “be careful what you post online.” Modern censorship wears a suit and comes with a corporate logo.

They want us to turn down the temperature of the nation. In light of the Charlie Kirk assassination fuck that, our leaders are the ones that turned up the temperature.

So far, NATO playing it cool. This is probably the most tense night since the end of the Cold War. Poland downed Russian drones. NATO's AWACS is airborne. I assume B-52 crews are inside their planes, waiting on orders (UK/Romania) but still on ground.
NATO E-3A is wheels up in Germany.

Apple stopped inventing years ago. Now they just shuffle the camera around every release. People called them out so they put it back in the same place. Behold—thinner phones, kings of “innovation.” For the love of God, don’t peek at what Chinese phones can do.
