Where are the consequences? I haven’t seen one for anyone. When the justices issue an order there must be consequences. What are they and why aren’t we seeing them?

We need optimism and hope. Mom’s younger brother was diagnosed with esophageal Cancer with liver Mets. He’s one of the best people we know. Please send everything you can for hope! Thank you

Advice for the day is advocate, advocate, advocate for yourself! If you can’t do it have a family member or friend do it. Most doctors offices hold a couple of appointment times open each day for emergencies. If your doctors office opens at eight call at 8:01 for that opening they fill up fast.

Mom, there a bit of room in the middle for you! I just want people to know this is a king size bed!

I will also tell you that if I walk into a room in your plane on your phone sitting there calmly. And I ask you what your pain scale is and you say 10 I’m going to be charting that your skin is warm and dry. Your heart rate is normal. Your blood pressure is normal and you appear in NAD.

Pain scales
Who doesn’t love to be asked to rate their pain on a one to 10 scale with 10 being the worst pain you’ve ever had and one being almost nothing. It’s damn near impossible to do. The secret to doing a one to 10 pain scale is you have to have a point of reference

Do you carry a list of your meds with you? A helpful hint, take a picture of your med bottles with your phone and then transfer those pictures into the health setting on your phone. If you were to collapse on the street, the medics have no ability to get into your medical record.

Mom is leaving for work in icy road and snowy conditions at 5:30 AM. Both Nora and Herman are in bed, under the covers and Tootsie is on the cat tree in front of the fire. All have been fed a breakfast except mom so who are the more intelligent creatures? It’s not Mom!

Our government and Democracy dies in inaction
February 12, 2025 at 12:17 AM
I will say this until my face is blue.
If you’re not calling your senators, congress people or representatives about what’s happening in our government at this time, you are complicit

Herman is like I’m not getting out of my chair for that, Nora is like no, I’m not going out in that, Mom is like cmon everyone, let’s go for a walk!

I’m not saying Herman makes a mess when he eats, but………
January 28, 2025 at 6:54 PM
Herman refused breakfast this morning. Wouldn’t take any treats during the day has been gagging, but no vomiting, but he ate a little bit tonight and I put some omeprazole in his dinner to hopefully help his tummy.

Mom it’s cold out today. Can we just stay in and nap?
January 23, 2025 at 6:44 PM
Herman and Nora sharing the couch. Mom has been banished!
January 22, 2025 at 2:39 AM
Herman is at rest. Nora and Achy share the fireplace. Achy has passed but we are so glad she enjoyed her last 2 weeks indoors. She was a lovely goat❤️❤️❤️
January 18, 2025 at 1:04 AM
Achy passed last night. She was spending the night in the garage with another goat and when I went out to feed her breakfast, I found that she had passed. We’ve buried her in her favorite pasture. She was such a good little girl.💔💔💔

Achy has passed. She spent the night in the garage with Laddie, and when I went out to feed her this morning, I found her gone. She was laying next to the heat lamp so I hope that means she passed in her sleep. She was such a good little goat. I hope she knew I loved her.

Achy remains unsteady on her feet. She’s graduated to being in the garage at night. I’ve tried bringing another goat into the garage with her but it stresses both of them. She’s in the house during the day. She falls frequently and needs help up. But she looks content and is purring

Achy is recovering slowly. Still unsteady on her feet but better. She has graduated to the garage and one of her sisters can be with her. She grateful to not have to wear the diapers for now! She’s a good girl. Still getting thiamine injections twice a day
January 10, 2025 at 2:08 AM
Achy has graduated to the garage. Still having some difficulty walking and can be unsteady on her feet. She’s not ready to be out with the rest of the goats yet, but I brought one of her sisters into the garage with her so she can get used to being with other goats again.
January 10, 2025 at 1:48 AM
Achy is slowly improving. I have to keep her indoors for now, but I would caution anybody else not to do this. The amount of work is unbelievable cleaning washing, diapering and picking up poop.unbelievable! Turns out goats poop constantly there is no single bowel movement. It’s constant.
