Saw a lovely review of “Melania”

If it had been shown as the film during a flight I still would have walked out!

As the Epstein files slowly emerge, heavily redacted, only 3 people have so far been held accountable - all British. Curious don’t you think?

🧵Four armed, large ICE officers arrest a diminutive brown teen in Minnesota because he won't produce his 'papers'. If the ICE funding allocated in the Republican Big Ugly Bill goes through, this scene will be exponentiated across the country.

ICE is a rogue, unaccountable, paramilitary force.

It is all very well Trump seeking a positional bargaining stance by saying that he wasn’t sure America’s Nato allies “would be there for us” in US-led military operations, apparently forgetting the British and other soldiers lost in Iraq and Afghanistan, and the recent boat seizure. Won’t forget!

Just watched Trump in Davos - overwhelming feeling is one of embarrassment - and bewilderment - how could sentient people vote for him?

It is very obvious how Europe should respond to military and other threats from a lawbreaking autocratic dictator - they should send in a special forces team to seize him and put him on trial in The Hague for the well documented sexual and other matters, alongside security breaches. Equity?

Trumps Greenland nonsense makes me wonder how Alaskans might feel if Canada adopted a similar stance, given the Trump says America does not want Russian as a neighbour!

Any help will be appreciated

Armistice has been continuously commemorated since 1921 in this small English midland town. It has been nominated for a UNESCO designation

Have I missed something - are the Epstein files lodged in Greenland?

Trump says there is no way Venezuela can hold elections - but Ukraine can!
Genius!!!

An obvious solution to the desire to own and control Greenland would be to send over an attack team, arrest the King of Denmark and take him for trial in New York

Only a mad person would advocate such a move

What’s the difference with Venezuela?

How original ….. when in trouble at home - launch a foreign policy diversion.

Kidnapping ? Ask Noriega - a bad man, but is this the way to carry on?

Reform UK are willing to quote and follow the leadership of the teenage George Finch, Leader of Warwickshire County Council but for some reason won’t acknowledge or quote the teenage Nigel Farage
Funny old world

Killing 2 people hanging onto the remains of a boat - in the middle of nowhere - not a good look - with November being the 80th anniversary of the opening of some famous war trials - but Trump will know about this - he will have aced his history exams!

As the US War Dept prepares some form of regime change in Venezuela, it’s not clear how this sits with “no more foreign wars”

Now that BBC has apologised for its editing mistakes ( has anyone checked past Fox coverage?) perhaps it is time Trump rowed back from his lie about “ it defrauded voters” - a curious claim, as it was not published in USA - and having damaged his reputation - wait for it - he won the election!!!!

I wake up to the news that Trump threatens the BBC with a billion pound lawsuit.
A couple of facts - it was more than 3 years ago - check the UK limitations statutes.
Defamation requires reputational damage - really!
UK defences include / it was true - it was fair comment
I will sleep easily tonight

Director General of BBC gone - has our Prime minister grown a pair?
The DG was a Conservative Party donor, so was always in thin ice

In our small English town, Armistice Day is still observed. It is a day to reflect, to remember and to resolve to not repeat the mistakes of the past.
15000 poppies have been crocheted into a cascade for the Church of England church All Saints
Remarkable!
It is accompanied by some life stories
