Cartagena. One of the best gateway games of all time.

New Years resolution. Log all plays on BG Stats. Sounds like a good resolution to me.

First play of 2026 is Cartagena, with sister-in-law and nephews. One of the best gateway games of all time.

Daughter has a play date and is introducing her friend to some board games for the first time. I'm letting them conspire against me in Shadow Ninjas

On Christmas, we were hit with a DOS attack on our website for Spot The Intro. Our apologies to everyone who wasn't able to play the game over the holidays.

This is so frustrating. The DOS attack was perfectly timed to have the biggest impact possible.

One of my kids showed me some "oddly satisfying videos" last night. Well... how satisfying is this!?! We packed an international order into a shipping container, and THIS is how much space was left. What a thing of beauty!

Amanda's artwork is amazing!! We recently began working with Amanda for jigsaw puzzles. We've now published three puzzles featuring her art, one which includes the moose image you posted.

This is a challenging image. Been out of print for many years though. Good find!

This is still one of my favourite memories from Pax Unplugged.
Definition of a super fan.

Met this guy on Day 2 at PAXU. He loved 5 Minute Dungeon so much... he got himself a tattoo of his favourite character from the game.

THAT is the definition of a super fantastic.

This sums up Guildlands perfectly. Great review from Meeple Mountain.

We often hear that Guildlands feels unbalanced. We've logged just shy of 1,000 plays. While it may not seem so on your first play, once you've played the game a few times (and various guilds), those perceived inbalances go away.
Guildlands is a tile laying, city building game like no other. Check out Andy’s review of this Outset Media Games title.

We've been making Cobble Hill Family Pieces puzzles for over 10 years now. It's something we are known for and is actually our third most popular piece count (after 1,000 piece and 500 piece puzzles).

That's amazing πŸ˜€πŸ˜€

Our plan next year is too bring a lot more images. By the third day we didn't have a particularly good selection of images left. I
And if all goes well, we also hope to run some speed puzzle competitions as well.

I will find out.

For anyone who has ever wanted to visit beautiful Vancouver, here is your excuse. I went last year for the first time. It was amazing!!! Highly recommend to all our American friends looking for a new con to attend.

You are very welcome.

The big surprise for me... Crown the Unicorn appeared on our best-sellers list in 14th spot. This is a quick little tile game for kids. Very cute... but still a kids game at Pax Unplugged. Didn't expect to see this sell so well. Similar to Zensu, we sold out before the last day.

Ape Town was 12th on the list. This is our new Knizia game.

Originally published in Europe by Piatnik, we have localized Ape Town for North America. I like this game more and more each time I play. We had a few copies at Gen Con, but Pax Unplugged was the first con since the game launched.
November 28, 2025 at 8:51 PM
Guildlands was 7th on the best-sellers list. Outset does localize games for a lots of companies, but most of the games we publish are in the party/kids/trivia sphere. This is our first real entry into the hobby game market. Still in it's infancy, but exciting to see it grow in popularity.
November 28, 2025 at 8:51 PM
Zensu was 6th on our list of best-sellers, but would have placed higher if we hadn't sold out. We ran out very early - had 1 copy left to start the Sunday. People even bought all our demo copies. We should have brought more copies.

Zensu a surprisingly fun two-player abstract strategy game.
