I made the new Heiress Ring from Eureka Crystal Beads because it was easy and I needed a win.

Experimenting with bead types (cubes and twisted bugles) that I don't usually work with. Little shaky on the brick stitch, but not noticeable when wearing. #beading #beadweaving #crafting 🧶

This will be fascinating to read/watch. Jon Krakauer is publishing a series of refutations against a YouTuber who is disputing a huge range of details regarding Krakauer's famous book on the 1996 Everest disaster.

I know pointing out hypocrisy doesn’t matter anymore, but if there’s one person I wouldn’t want to be the judge of who goes into locker rooms, it would be the man who openly boasted about walking into dressing rooms of underage girls

It’s not hard to grasp that requiring parking sacrifices housing because parking takes up lots of space and its high cost makes homebuilding less feasible.

But wow, this new study shows that parking mandates are much more damaging than I would have guessed.

Noise regulations in North America are generally piecemeal, experts say, and tend to focus on things like parties or concert venues, instead of the sources of noise that actually cause us the most harm: noises from transportation.

Snake Charmer Bracelet from a tutorial by Vicky Roberts Designs on YouTube. Bead weaving is difficult and expensive and a lot of fun. Making my own jewelry is incredibly satisfying. Wish I had an eye for design!

27 years ago, 15-year-old me visited New York City to see Yoshitaka Amano's debut US exhibit at the Puck Building. Unforgettable. In addition to the magnificent paintings that I had only previously seen in books, there were jewelry pieces designed in collaboration with another artist, Kumiko Hata.
