I guess I should share my Python package, ScraperFC, on here now that I'm back on here more people from the soccer analytics community are here.

It scrapes free data from FBref, Sofascore, Understat, Capology, Transfermarkt, and ClubELO!

I released ScraperFC v3.2.0 yesterday!

Biggest changes include
* Added Saudi Pro League to FBref and Sofascore modules
* Added a scrape_match_shots() function to Sofascore
* Lots of "behind the scenes" stuff most users won't really see

Check out the full changelog here: github.com/oseymour/Scr...

For anybody maintaining a Python package, "Publishing Python Packages" by @dane.dev is so useful! Would highly recommend giving it a read. For internal or external. And even for stuff you're not packaging. I use concepts from this book all the time now.

How do people configure their ML experiments?
1. Pure code
2. Python-based config (eg github.com/google/fiddle)
3. YAML-based config (eg github.com/facebookrese...)

What parts of your setup do you like/dislike?

Here's my attempt at assembling a starter pack of the still nascent computer vision community on Bluesky. Feel free to recommend other accounts that should be in this starter pack. :) #computervision (Do we use hashtags here? 😅)

Open source software developers, what can I do to get more community contributions for my Python package?

Is anybody on here that does ML / computer vision? Maybe even specifically for medical imaging?

Seeing a lot of soccer people move over but haven't found the AI/ML people yet.

Great resource for anybody who maintains or is considering maintaining a Python package: learn.scientific-python.org/development/ (doesn't have to be scientific)

My girlfriend designed a new logo for ScraperFC and I think she killed it! She's available for more work, if anybody has any graphic design needs (annamckenna.com). Her other proposed designs are below.
