One of the most outrageous cases of femicide in Italy. I suggest you search for the full story in case you haven’t followed. Abominable doesn’t even begin to describe it.

Things like “…a creature with self knowledge and an appetite for destruction”how Henry Gee describes Homo Sapiens in his new book. Oh how I love words well written. #declineandfallofthehumanempire

In an excited state of anticipation as I start @endofthepier.bsky.social Decline And Fall Of The Human Empire. His Very Short History Of Life On Earth a firm favourite. Already hooked in and I am only halfway through the prologue. 🙏🏼

A new study by Chaehyeong Lee and crew has confirmed that our oceans are getting hotter, and no, it’s not a tropical vacation vibe.

Thanks to increased stratification, the ocean's surface is holding onto more heat.

The North Atlantic is completely off the charts.

Yesterday for a moment I felt respite talking about my grandma’s dress. Hundreds of comments + advice on my other feed on ways to wear it, ways to love it. Gentle + fun. We women need to organise unlike men do. Find our own way. Our capacity for deep empathy is needed rn, in this shitshow.

More about my “later on” clothes. Items kept waiting for when I know I will like them. This was my granny’s, worn by my mum, lives in her wardrobe. Every time I come I try to love it but something’s amiss. Next year, next year. #lovedclotheslast

On this COVID-19 Day of Reflection, we remember those we’ve lost in Peckham and across the UK. Their absence is felt daily. Let’s honour their memory by strengthening our resolve to learn from the pandemic and build a better future.

To consume means to wear, to wear again, and then again. And then, when things are properly used, they become worn, and torn, and so, because I am a consumer, I might repair them, or I might not.

Our evolution. Our layer on this planet. Our manual dexterity gone rogue: we make too much. What a shame.

In Hello magazine discussing the power of seamstresses and why repairing your clothes is an act of resistance Thank you Tania Leslau for an interesting conversation.

Every morning I avoid the news, remind myself that I am a droplet waiting to become a river and then an ocean, and that I find solace in doing small things right.
Everyday I start with my clothes, showing my intentions. To keep, to repair, to care.
