Some people are really good at having the perfect amount of filter to regularly post, but only consistently thoughtful or funny things. Some people have too strong of a filter and end up not posting at all.

I have to stop prepping for horror DnD sessions late at night. I start scaring myself 😅

Creative writing has such a sense of momentum behind it for me. When I'm in the habit of daily writing, I feel like I'm overflowing with energy and ideas. When I've fallen out of the habit for too long, it feels impossible to start again.

Surreal horror seems to be my strength as a DM. I don't mean to be so good at scaring my players 😅

I find that I'm the most motivated and energized to write when I can't actually sit down and do any writing. I feel cursed to only be internally able to write when something external is preventing me from doing so

DnD is so weird because the strangest little detail I make up on the spot to add some flavor becomes the primary point of suspicion my players fixate on for the next three sessions.

I prepared a special chase sequence for my players, with particular mechanics and special events for them each to shine. When they option to engage in it came up in session, my rogue says, "running from the guards is so boring. Let's do something else." And they moved on. 🫠

Sometimes I'll feel frustrated I didn't get any writing time in on a given day, and then I'll remember I spent like three hours preparing for DnD and that absolutely is creative writing
