Our primary focus is teaching implant surgery techniques to surgeons in the host country. But for the best patient outcomes, there are so many others we also need to educate: patients, family members, nursing and OR staff, and physical therapists, just to name a few!

To our patients, regaining their ability to move free from pain, to climb the stairs to their homes, to return to work, to play with their children and grandchildren....that is the mountain.

Our volunteers have been there to help them for 30 years, one step at a time.

Witnessing an orthopedic surgery is always an incredible experience. And it amazes us how, with great gentleness and precision, our surgeons use each instrument to guarantee the best outcome in each procedure.

Although this candid shot may seem small at first, this simple expression connects our team and their patients, and gives that person self confidence and a way to document their first step into a new life.
