I think it’s funny that whenever I introduce myself as a shojo mangaka I never really get the usual “westerner thinks they can make manga” remarks that my shonen/seinen colleagues do it’s usually just a blank look of surprise and then something along the lines of “oh wow didn’t know that existed”
