Art time! I went a little over the top with the art for this story so here are a few of my favourites. Firstly, The Revenge making its way to Pluto.

He loves being the Taskmaster and he loves Stede, and he really wishes Izzy would stop nagging him to just talk to Stede about how he feels. Stede Bonnet thinks that he's the luckiest man on earth to have a best friend as wonderful as Ed Teach. He can't imagine his life without Ed in it, and has never felt quite so connected to anyone ever before. Pity that he doesn't really get along with Ed's oldest friend and comedy partner, Izzy. Izzy Hands has been Ed's friend for longer than he's been the Taskmaster's Assistant, and has watched Ed and Stede 'fucking oblivious' Bonnet pine after each other for long enough that he's actually allowed himself to be dragged into an elaborate plan to get them together. Now the three of them are in the studio, along with the rest of the cast for the new series of Taskmaster, the crew behind the scenes and, of course, the live studio audience. Surely nothing life-changing is going to happen over the next five days of filming. Here it is! Another combination of two things that I adore - Our Flag Means Death and Taskmaster. I've been thinking about this AU for a while, especially inspired by a piece of art that Mint posted on bsky. I began writing in January 2025 but then took a bit of a sabbatical, picking it up again properly in July/August. As of first day of publishing, this is still a WIP, but I'm aiming to stay ahead of the publishing schedule (Thursdays and Mondays) with my writing. Let's see how we go. The end game of the fic is Gentlebeard. However, while it's all about getting Stede and Ed together, I'm having fun exploring the dynamics across the three of them through the lens of their performance personas vs their personal lives. Izzy and Ed had a sexual relationship in the past, and it is referenced in passing, though they are simply friends and coworkers now. And as part of the elaborate plan to get Ed and Stede together (finally!!) there will be fake flirting between Izzy and Stede, with some insights and revelations along the way. I know that won't for everyone, and completely understand anyone choosing not to read the fic because of that. A03 tags page for the fic.

Yeah, I suppose I do work for Blackbeard.” Off to one side, Izzy sputters, and off to the other, Lucius lets out an agonised sound and buries his face in his husband’s shoulder. “I hate space,” he mutters. “I hate gays in space.” “But, babe, we’re gays in space.” Pete pats his husband on the back. “And you love drama.” “You’re right.” Lucius pops his head back up. “I should celebrate that. And to that end... I see a cocktail bar over there.”
