As the end of the year approaches, I think it's the right moment to call time on the 'Persons Underground' album cycle, 18 months after its launch... This post is split into 2, and this is the 2nd half, 'The Shows'...

The best part of making stuff, besides having others enjoy it, is experiencing your work improve as you learn your craft. "This thing's so much better than last year's things. I can't wait to see what next year's things are like!"

AI nobbers are robbing themselves of this joy.

Today marks the first time my partner has entered Whamhalla before me. I hope she's keeping my seat warm.

It's the not-very-Christmassy-Christmas show for CAMP Radio, with a bold announcement - I'm retiring the show next year. Until then, I still have plenty of music to share with you, including this hour of goodies...

Yes folks, it's the time of year when I draw some red and white on my photo and blatantly disregard the time of year again! 1MU is on CAMP Radio at 4pm GMT today... listen.camp x

I was lucky enough to host @loulayorke.bsky.social at a live show a couple of years ago, a few years after we shared a stage with @jarviscocker.bsky.social in Toxteth. Today, a huge chunk of her catalogue is available for less than 6 quid. Get on it...

I rarely repost old radio shows, but given that news for trans people seems to get worse by the day, I wanted to show a little solidarity. Much love 🏳️‍⚧️
This month's show is now online. It's a pleasure and a privilege to share the work of these trans and NB artists with you. Listen and buy below:

Once again, I totally forgot to post about the last radio show... Sorry! Here it is though, still mostly fresh. It could probably do with an airing, to be fair x

About 8000 years ago, I "specialised" in mashups. I thought I'd put that era to bed. But I've just had the most stupid idea I think I've ever had, I've just demoed it, and it's absolutely glorious. I may have to make a video to go with it.

Just found out about Peter Watkins, having only just watched Privilege for the first time. For that, Culloden, and most of all The War Game, he should be remembered.

I've just finished reading 'Jesus Christ Kinski' in one sitting (last time I did that was 'I'm Thinking Of Ending Things'). An instant cult classic, and one of the best books of the year. Makes me want to track down the DVD of the original 1971 performance. Here's the author, explaining himself x

Kudos to the projectionist at @princecharlescinema.com yesterday afternoon, who managed to fix the print of Onibaba in record time, which split with literally one minute to go. And if you've seen Onibaba, you'll know how crucial that last minute is...
