About 8000 years ago, I "specialised" in mashups. I thought I'd put that era to bed. But I've just had the most stupid idea I think I've ever had, I've just demoed it, and it's absolutely glorious. I may have to make a video to go with it.

Just found out about Peter Watkins, having only just watched Privilege for the first time. For that, Culloden, and most of all The War Game, he should be remembered.

I've just finished reading 'Jesus Christ Kinski' in one sitting (last time I did that was 'I'm Thinking Of Ending Things'). An instant cult classic, and one of the best books of the year. Makes me want to track down the DVD of the original 1971 performance. Here's the author, explaining himself x

What the Warp CD misses is the uninterrupted stretches of music that turn it from being "just" a sketch show into something far more off-kilter. That said, this article still makes for a strong retrospective. And to those paying attention: without Blue Jam, there would be no 'Persons Underground'. x
