The first cross stitch I did back in July 2020. I was have massive pandemic anxiety & decided I needed a hobby to help me relax. Saw this kit from Subversive Cross Stitch & thus a hobby was born.

50 runaway sheep ram-paged through a German supermarket in rural Baa-varia, causing shear mania on Monday morning.
After breaking away from their 500-strong herd, the brazen sheep spent 20 minutes milling around in the Penny supermarket before ewe-turning and seeing themselves out.

my hot take is that I don't think it's this website specifically that's toxic. the Circumstances are toxic and nobody really knows what to do about it so they come online and scream. and if I may offer an alternative: actually going outside and screaming feels better.

I’m continuing the “books books books until morale improves“ theme to this week of national/international bullshit caused by the orange dipshit by purchasing some of the books on my to-buy list. Bought a few that had been on that list for years.
Well, that helped a little. Shelved by date added to my want to read Goodreads list. There were 18 that had never been added to my list & they’re at the bottom.
I also took the opportunity to go through & remove books I’m no longer interested in or add ones to my to-buy list.

you know one thing dems do not need and have never needed overwhelming majorities to do is to stop talking about republicans as their respectable colleagues who they hope will do the right thing and the fever will break any minute now, and to start talking about them as enemies who must be defeated
A lot of people are mad at Schumer for saying this. But he's right. Democrats don't control a single branch of government and they can't pass anything. Only Republicans can rein in Trump because they control both chambers of Congress. Democrats have no cards to play here.
Schumer: "Republicans must -- if there was ever a time, they must step up to the plate. This is the time. And if they don't, they're gonna feel the heat from their constituents."

Seriously, look at the most over the top political ads about drugged out cities & copy that feel. The more lurid, the better.
Don't fall into some "good faith" debate about this because that doesn't exist. There is no debate about transwomen being women. Regardless of age, they are women.
