I miss discussing fiction with people. I mean *really* getting to the nitty gritty, where thematic elements, character development, narrative choices, etc. are ensconced in thinking beyond value judgments and common tropes.
I miss meta analysis, I think that’s what I’m saying.

This year was…a year. I was just that: aimless. I lost my job in March and finally found another in September. But it was art - be it the promise to do one more audition, to make it to that workshop, to watch a program I’d been looking forward to, to read one more chapter - that kept me going.
