My grandpa was the utmost gentleman. He embodied the spirit of quiet dignity. He was an RAF pilot during WWII, reaching air commander status. Though he rightfully earned them, he never picked up his medals of honor. 1/2

I always come back to this picture of my dad because, like the frame it is ensconced by, it is simple yet profound.
My dad was a welcoming man. He knew just how to greet people, how to make them feel cared for. He worked hard, having immigrated from Sicily when he was 18 to Chicago. 1/2

A whirlwind day at GalaxyCon Richmond! Met so many awesome people (couldn’t get selfies with all of them, but that’s okay!), got some merch, spent 30 minutes trying to find the car, and walked over 3 miles!
