When EU comprises and backtracks on its (notorious) rules & regulations - arguably to be more business friendly - it is engaging in a race to the bottom that EU can't ever win. It either sticks to playing to long game or concedes the power balance of 21st century on short-term acts with no impact

Isn't it sad that when identifying a judge on a matter, we need to specify which president made the appointment? Have we all conceded and accepted that the courts are not that neutral after all, and we are not equal in the face of the law?
JUST IN: Judge Cameron Currie, a Clinton appointee, will decide whether Lindsey Halligan is disqualified as interim U.S. attorney, following a motion brought by James Comey. storage.courtlistener.com/recap/gov.us...

And that is exactly what happened. 😡
🚨 BREAKING: French President Emanuel Macron said the EU failed to leverage its massive single market and sufficiently scare the US into accepting a better deal than the one it reached Sunday.

With the new "trade deal" that is horrendous for Europe.
How about us as Europeans do something about it and not use American products! 💶

What concept i remember and loved when I was studying criminal law was asking "cui bono" (who benefits from the crime). Looking at all the shady events happening in the US, it seems that no matter the event, answer always seem to be the same: Donald Trump.

Space is booming, with satellites multiplying.

It’s Europe’s moment to create a single market for space that works for all.

Safer space. Stronger Europe. Shared future.

Dear Ms. Von der Leyen: Did you use drawings and simple words....perhaps treats when he gets an answer in the proximity of correct?
Good call with President Trump ahead of the G7 Summit.

We discussed the tense geopolitical situation in the Middle East as well as the need for close coordination on the impact on energy markets.

#ICEprotests Obviously it is not the first time the president deploys National guard against a State to enforce federal law. But where the federal government is dictating an action that has dubious US constitutional legitimacy, this feels more like civil war than anything else.

Perhaps, and it is evident that EU is going to side step Maastricht criteria of national debt to do it. But, it is not because Trump demanded it. It is because Europe realized that the US is not a trustworthy ally
NATO leaders are widely expected to give US President Donald Trump a win in a few weeks as they fall in line over his demand that allies sharply increase defense spending.
Trump’s 5 percent defense spending target seemed far-fetched. Now not so much
NATO defense ministers in Brussels are expected to pave the way for a new defense spending goal — the questions are now when, and how.

If you think the civil was and chaos in Syria is over now that Assad is gone, think again.

This has to be a joke. Noem doesn't know what habeas corpus is. Actually, it's worse: she thinks it's the opposite of what habeas corpus is. After being corrected, she still has the slime to suggest she supports it, followed by a series of buts. What a disgrace. What a poor example of human species.
HASSAN: What is habeas corpus?

NOEM: Habeas corpus is a constitutional right that the president has to be able to remove people from this country

HASSAN: That's incorrect

This reminds me of CNN Turk broadcasting a documentary on pinguins during the mass anti-Erdogan protests in Istanbul back in 2012.
Devastating. The cowardice and the betrayal of an incomparable news brand.
Scoop: CBS News pulled a "60 Minutes" segment that focused on job losses at the Internal Revenue Service hours before it was scheduled to air, replacing it with a feature story on Cajun music.

I fully support Donald Trump as the new pope. Based in his 100 day performance as the president of the US, he would not only destroy the Vatican in a year, he would most likely wipe the entire concept of religion completly if given enough time.

What I really want to see is not the EU declaring war on Russia. Rather, concrete steps for a more cohesive union, a unified rhetoric and a revision of the Lisbon treaty to add conditions for expulsion of members that are complete odds with EU values.

Trump really accelerated the end of USD as global currency. It was probably inevitable but also serving China with Yuan as the contender and huge amounts of US bonds held by it to fight the economic warfare

If 4 years under Trump's first term was not enough, i doubt additional 90 days would make any difference at all
I stand by my position that the president should have a 90 day period after which they can keep the job or we go with a different candidate

Hear. Hear
The European Union must start acting like the global power it already is, as the bloc confronts the shifting trade policies of US President Donald Trump, says former EU Internal Market Commissioner Thierry Breton.
Breton urges EU to flex its muscles on trade
The market volatility caused by Trump’s back and forth on tariffs shows the U.S. “is not in a strong position,” the former EU commissioner tells Le Soir.
