Labour have let down renters in our district for too long.

That's why we're here to replace them.

A busy day of campaigning today!

Out delivering our autumn newsletter this morning, and then speaking to residents on the Blackthorn estate this afternoon.

Thanks to everyone that took the time to speak to us and raise their concerns 💚

We could not be prouder that someone is wearing one of our "pro trans, pro trains" t-shirts to anti-fascism protests in Washington DC.

Sending solidarity to everyone opposing the far right in the USA and around the world.
People loudly jeering these unidentified federal agents.

"You're not helping anyone!"

"How much overtime are you getting paid to do nothing!"

"Boooo!"

What a mess!

Wakefield Tory councillors defecting to Reform.

Wakefield Labour councillors having to abandon their party and sit as independents.

When will this incompetence and chaos stop?

It's time for some positive change in how things are run.

It’s absolutely outrageous that @ameliagentleman.bsky.social has written this article and hasn’t included a single word from sex worker-led organisations or outreach charities that work with sex workers who oppose these proposals. Where is the balance? Where are the voices of actual sex workers?

I was so pleased to bring this issue to the Council's attention today.

Let's hope they take note and take action.
Today, two of our members presented a deputation to Wakefield Council to ask them to bring in a compulsory landlord register.

The Council must send a clear message that rogue landlords are not welcome in our district.

The Green Party has a massive comms problem. If we're serious about fighting the far right, we have to do something about it.

In the summer, we have a fantastic opportunity to elect new leadership and a new GPEx. We can't afford to squander this chance.
The Green Party should be proud of their breakthrough at the last election.

But their failure to pick political fights since then has left Nigel Farage capitalising on Labour’s implosion.

They need to get their act together!

You only need look at its dire social media presence to see where this party, so full of potential, is going wrong, says Guardian columnist Owen Jones

It is true that the NHS is not functioning properly. It is also true that people are suffering for no reason because medicine has taken them as far as it can and we should be giving those people the option to end their life instead of forcing them to go through it alone.

This gives me a second reason for visiting Wuppertal (riding the Schwebebahn being the primary reason)
Feminist Marxists know it's eight hours for sleep, eight hours for work, and eight hours for the childcare, cooking and laundry, though. (Pocket watch from the Engels-Haus museum in Wuppertal which is fabulous.)
