the tiresome discussion about whether to work remotely or in the office, and why it's the wrong question for me www.linkedin.com/pulse/remote...
Remote or office - Which is better?
Yesterday lunchtime I had an interesting conversation with a CEO friend of mine. The topic of ‘remote or office’ that we talked about stuck in my mind on the way home.

Yesterday I went to see Abramowic's exhibition at the Kunsthaus Zürich. Exciting, interesting, thought-provoking, ... and also exhausting.

just updated to Chrome 133 and the moveBefore() demo now works w/o any feature flags:

i asked the chrome team for this feature 2 years ago, insane to see it in production, it is going to unlock a lot of functionality for the web!

I've started writing a few articles on LinkedIn. It's not perfect and I definitely still need some practice. But I'm sure I'll learn how to do it. I'm very interested in feedback - especially on what I can improve. The last one: www.linkedin.com/pulse/experi...
Experiences with BDD - external systems
Today we are looking at how we have dealt with external systems. Nowadays, there is hardly a piece of software that stands alone and has no interfaces to other systems.

What I often observe at the moment is that many people get scared when I say that we deposit our application several times a day. Does anyone have the same experience?

Behavior Driven Development (in short BDD) Who is responsible for the scenarios? Who is best able to maintain them? This article looks at what has worked best for us in the past and explains why. www.linkedin.com/pulse/experi...
Experience with BDD - Responsibilities
Today it's all about responsibilities. When I started with BDD many years ago, I thought that the responsibility for creating scenarios lay with the users, analysts or Q&A rather than the developers.

Tonight I was sitting with a friend and we had a very pleasant conversation. He advises start-ups and scale-ups and at some point he said to me: "Why don't you start a company yourself?" 🤔 My reaction was: I miss that. His: "Easy, why not like this..." Mhh... Yep?!

It's the little things that count, isn't it? I have to admit that I avoid buying presents at Christmas and prefer to give away my time, interest or attention. Yesterday I was given just such a gift by a good friend of mine. 1/2
