Standing outside as my dad gets his second of 15 radiation treatments I catch myself thinking of a discussion on the drive here, how he thinks this will cure him. He is either incapable or refusing to accept the fact that he is dying, and all this will do is slow it down.

Grief was once described to me as a ball in a locked box with a button in the middle. The box shifts and turns, and the ball hits the button seemingly at random. At first the ball is large, but it shrinks over time... but you still never know when it hit.

I had to end my stream early today, to go to the hospital because the person that was trusted to take care of my dad failed to give him his seizure medication, and he was seizing so hard that an ambulence had to be called.
