I hate to admit it but I've started to repost some things just so my profile page will have some pictures on it. I'm too lazy to figure out how to insert a pic, or a link. Exhausting.
Don't take it from me. @balter54.bsky.social
My family has been without half our income for 40 days. It has been.. very hard.

We are willing to feel that pain so people can have health care next year, or to undo these illegal recissions.

We are not willing to have been put through this for NOTHING.

Just when I began to have hope about Democrats after last weeks wins, our Senators cave on the shutdown. I have come to the realization that I have less faith in our ability to win this battle against oligarchy than ever. I left X when Musk bought it and now I'm out on politics completely.

This is correct @realtexaspaul.com
Dems backed Trump into a corner where he’s advocating for starving Americans and hemorrhaging support. If they vote to let him off the hook in exchange for nothing it’s a cataclysmic failure. I know people are in pain but insulating Republicans from political consequences is not the answer.

This is correct. @realtexaspaul.com
No! We cannot capitulate! You don't negotiate with terrorists, and I guarantee the pain we'll all experience will be MUCH worse if we bow to the fascists.

This. I'm not saying it's easy for the country, but Congresswoman Jayapal is 100 percent correct @realtexaspaul.com.
Caving on a deal that doesn’t fix health care is, and always has been, a giant betrayal of the American people.

Hold the line. Save health care. I’m a NO on anything that doesn’t extend ACA subsidies.

Drove right by one yesterday to shop at my least favorite place in the world, Walmart. They're really no better but I'll get to them next. Also, don't buy Goya.

I hate that Americans are losing their right to free speech. Oh, wait, is that hate speech? Am I going to jail? Call my wife and tell her I always loved her.

Hey @mcuban.bsky.social, the time is right to start your own streaming service/cable network. There is plenty of talent available and to say the demand is pent up would be underselling it. I know it will make some people mad that you actually have the financial ability to do it, but they will watch.

I'm pretty sure that there will be a couple of people that are happy when I'm dead. Maybe up to five. I'm relieved to know that number won't be hundreds of millions.

Had a choice between U.S. grapes and Canadian cherries at the store this week and I picked the Canadian cherries proudly. This is the insanity that tRump has brought to our country.

Let me see if I have this right. The reason for the tariffs is trade imbalance. tRump wants these countries buying more of our product or else he will impose tariffs on them. His strategy to get them to spend more on expensive American goods is to destroy their economies and make them poorer. Right?

This is the answer. Every state. If you don't believe it study the insidious Koch Brothers. This is how they did it and Democrats just stood by and watched.
.

It starts local.

SC needs to flood school boards, city councils, and state races with young, bold progressives.

You can’t flip a red state top-down

you flip it from the ground up.

Build the bench. Own the future.

Get Lindsey Graham the fuck out.

I have disliked Republican presidents going back to Ronald Reagan, who I frankly blame for starting us down this road. But none set off my gag reflex when watching them speak, until now. I'm not exaggerating either. I literally get the saliva production in my throat when watching clips.

Why am I seeing what feels like more larger accounts that disable the ability for me to reply? I assume they're limiting it to only their followers, or those that follow them? I don't want to follow someone until I've interacted in their threads. Do they feel too intellectually above my thoughts?

I'm sure someone is talking about it and I simply haven't seen it, but one o f the most vile parts of this story will be that many of these hooded "ICE" agents will actually turn out to be volunteer white supremacists that get off on hurting brown people. That's if the true story is ever told.

So the White House story is now:

“We didn’t mean to threaten Harvard, because we didn’t mean to send the threatening letter we sent, but when Harvard rejected the threats we made but didn’t mean to make, we decided to threaten them twice more.”

The country is now run by thugs and idiots.
Trump Officials Blame Mistake for Setting Off Confrontation With Harvard
An official on the administration’s antisemitism task force told the university that a letter of demands had been sent without authorization.
