You are presenting opinion of a man you are showing a total lack of knowledge about as fact without providing proof. Has the PM ever uttered any statement to support any of that? I am not aware of him doing so… but our current political environment is incredibly noisy.

He did not help create any of those crisis at all. The 2000s is tied directly to deregulation of the US banking system… there were demands we do the same, and the BoC advised against it and the PMs from the time did not budge. You are attributing micro level actions to the macro guy.

There is no point throwing the switch until it is known that we have 2/3 of the senate ready to levy sanction. Last two times this vile criminal traitor was impeached, he literally got worse after the senate gave him passes.

BoC operates at a macro level. The develop economic policies at the top end. The BoC would never dip into the micro, specific policies that would influence housing costs. So yes, interest rates are set, and damaged the housing market while keeping people mostly ok in other areas (like employment).

Bankers yes. Not like Carney. At no time have you made a cogent argument that PM Carney is the architect of any of my ills. Yes, he was the Governor of the Bank of Canada, but the Governor of the BoC does not establish those types of laws. Housing is outside of the BoC’s mandate.

If we find a unicorn in a landlord who rents to low-inc pers and keeps the rent geographically low for low-inc; give them a pass, and if they are losing money, tax credits. Other wise, fuck those guys renting 900sq ft homes for 3000/month (happening right now in my neighborhood - older homes too)

I cannot get excited, as medical reasons and a bunch of bad luck, I still own… but mortgaged far beyond 120k. At this point, when I move into an LTC, I am gifting it (and my mortgage) to one of my kids (two of three did manage to buy/build - narrows the field). My grandkids will never be able to buy

Only by fringe right. Heck, not even them any more unless they are in the 1%. When I bought my house way back when, I got it for 120k, and I paid too much because the market was just starting to take off. If I were not a hard partying dickhead in the 90s, I could have got it for 90ish. Now? 500k.
