Because I first encountered this sort of art in the John Bolton illustrated Lets Play Chess book. I often look at sword and sorcery stuff like this and my first thought is "So what is this teaching me about chess?"

I learnt nothing about chess from this book- the drawings are too good.

The first John Wick uses a great storytelling tool: “I gave him an impossible task...the bodies he buried that night are the foundation of what we are now."

You don't have to tell me what that is. It's better left unsaid.

Do this while running games.

The AI chapter headings that spotify genetates spoil key points in the plot of the story.

How does someone come up with a technology that has such queasy vibes?

This is great.

Not least because its the antithesis of the "are there any Jewish wizards at Hogwarts?- yes, Anthony Goldstein of Ravenclaw" approach.
This Reddit AMA interview with Witcher creator Andrzej Sapkowski is very funny, because you have a ton of people who want to ask (not necessarily bad!) fandom-brained questions running directly into the buzzsaw of a man who refuses to answer that kind of thing

Good luck working out why i hate some warhammer things and love others computer.
On this side of things, I worry it won’t know WHY I disliked a thing. Is it any more useful that mute post?

Did I dislike a post about a media property because I disliked that specific media property? Because if depicted a trigger? Because I hate an actor? Because I was sick of genre?

I love the ubiquity of musicians in warhammer. Imagine absolutely losing your. soul as a chaos worshipper, gone out of your mind, file your teeth, wear human skin, and then in the battle they put you on bongos.

An adendum to "politics in warhammer"discourse is that in 1990 the offical golden demon book featured orks collecting the poll tax from a snotling at bolter point with a flag on their buggy that says "Derby County Council"

Its worth noting that the commentary was about making tents from greenstuff.

So sad that it takes great artists dying to see some ofntyeir art work for the first time. I had no idea about this Knifton bamget until today.

What a loss. What an amazing body of work.
If you’ve ever loved #bloodbowl, you’ll know who Pete Knifton is, from his artwork.
Sadly, Pete passed away last night. He was a funny, clever and immensely talented guy who always had time to chat. He’ll be very much missed.

Its also worth noting that death is also called the big sleep, so therefore we could call sleep orgasm or orgasm sleep.

My grandma orgasms a lot in the afternoon these days.
All these people who call orgasm the little death, yet don't call death the big orgasm

Did you know Lawnmower Man had an rpg with an accompanying miniatures line?

Because it did.

The company that did this did a similar thing for Aliens and Coppola's Bram Stoker's Dracula.

The games and the minis all seemed terrible.
