Not disappointed that Miami wasn't in on Jimmy G - but this should give you an idea of what a quality vet backup QB is going to cost in FA.
The Rams are re-signing QB Jimmy Garoppolo to a one-year, $11 million deal, per source.

Dalman is a great fit as a C in an OZ heavy scheme. Good long-term investment here for Ben Johnson who has done a good job of revamping the interior OL for the Bears.

The Kimes segment imploring Miami to take a guard at 13 is misguided in so many ways.
First off, that would be the highest any coach ever who ran this system took a G, but like 30 draft slots.
Second, the best OG is like 25th overall at best.
Third, young guards are not what Miami needs.

I thought Big Pat had the same issues at RT in terms of over-setting and getting beat across his face, but I also saw a lot more of the sweet feet with an easy weight transfer, and some flat out dominant run down reps.

I’m going to do an entire segment on tonight’s pod on the run game woes. I would strongly urge anybody that thinks it’s as simple as just “the guards played bad” to tune in.
Don’t get me wrong, the G play wasn’t good, but the fan base has totally misplaced blame on this glaring issue.

Fix the two guard positions and pair him with Austin Jackson, and next season’s run game will look drastically different!
