I was going to go out and photograph my bus painting at the bus stop from the scene last night, only to find that my tire was completely flat.

Apparently trying to photograph these paintings is an absolutely cursed action, though the fact that I tried to go out last night did

Already posted this on my personal accounts, but about two weeks ago, I fell down a flight of concrete stairs, and this is how I chose to repair my ripped jeans.

In case you were wondering what I was doing up at 5:30AM on a Sunday.

I was hoping for a pink sunrise (but you get what you get), and I think the weather people and I have a different definition of sunrise because these were taken 10 minutes before what they were calling sunrise.

I think this may have been the second sketch I ever put in the sketchbook back in 2019, the premise being that we find life on other planets, but it's just like a fish or something. Done in gel pen and colored pencil. 🪐⭐️🐟

This page in the sketchbook is a pop-up version of one of my little abstract flowers. It's funny, I've drawn my botanical abstracts for years, then this year, I decided I wanted to build physical sculpture versions of them.

Never fun to restore your own art, but I'm a repair person. I had this painting sitting on the kitchen island to take with me somewhere, and Monday night, I noticed it was filled with water. As if the water had generated from the inside.

This page is 100% from 2019. It's another mixed media piece: a photographic print of one of my electric field art designs with an octopus done in markers and individually cut out bubble wrap bubbles.

Back in 2019, I shoved a few pieces of photography in my sketchbook, which I realize are not sketches, BUT photography was one of the mediums I was most excited about and proud of at the time. This photo is from 2019,

A sketch of loons in watercolor, gouache, and colored pencil based on these photos from a friend! Art inspires more art. :) 🦢

This is another 2019 sketch. I was a brave soul to use markers in a sketchbook.

Here's another old 2019 mixed media sketch. Electric field art printed on photography paper, rainbow trout hand-drawn on paper with colored pencil. I believe my friend Andew chose the fish. 🐟

Just got off the new Etsy CEO's Ask Me Anything. This shop stands on business.

They've at least said they want to match sellers to buyer preferences, meaning allowing buyers to filter out AI art, even though they don't plan on kicking AI art off the site (L take, you made your empire

Did this page in my sketchbook with chalk, pastels, and watercolors. The interesting thing about chalk + watercolors is that you'll get a thin, transparent boarder around anywhere you use watercolors over chalk.

This page in the sketchbook is brought to you by leftover star punchouts from my star tree and leftover star jewel stickers from another abstract plant's vase. It was inspired by this hydrangea I photographed in London in 2018.

Please enjoy this felt abd fabric flower garden. I know we're stretching the boundaries of "sketchbook" here, but I wanted a page where I could do just a little embroidery (turkey tail stitches for the grass).

This is another old 2019 sketch. It's of Duke's Antique Mall in Lexington, VA, sketched from the attached photograph.

Chrysanthemums from my sketchbook. The black is latex paint, and the rest is acrylic. It was actually in the instructions that you shouldn't use acrylic in the book (which I reread AFTERWARD), and the reason was legit:

This is a non-art project of mine, but the community on Tedoo is so wide and supportive that I wanted to share here in hopes it gets where it needs to go:

I've created a food map for the state of Virginia that catalogs farmers markets,

I've slacked off on showing you all pages of the sketchbook. I finished it at least a month ago, and for now, I've decided to keep it. As the season ends, I figured I'd show you these old pastel tomatoes and bumblebees.

Yes, thank you Microsoft, it sure is a colorful piece of artwork. Encountered this auto-description while I was preparing my proposal and found it amusing.

If you remember the dahlia tablecloth weights I made, I am happy to report they are IN ACTION for their intended purpose today. ❤️🌸 This party could happen in a hurricane, and the tablecloths would stay put.

Bad news and good news: My proposal was not selected in this year's call for the Art in Library Spaces Program. BUT the committee loved the pieces and the story behind my abstract botanical work so much that they've thrown out the idea of me hosting a workshop on them in the library for the
