My godawful, weeks-long migraine finally gave me a reprieve today—my blessed day off—and I woke up early with food poisoning. 😭 I finally tried eating a little bit half an hour ago, and I’m back to feeling horrible. Can I please get one restful day during this extra shitty (at work) holiday season?

To add to this: being able to eat what food you like is a privilege based in health, class, race etc. And that's not to guilt trip, not at all, but rather to accentuate how good of a thing food is. Food has been a means to celebrate for as long as humanity has existed, and you deserve it.
So it's Christmas Eve in a week! Here is a reminder to be mindful of how you speak about food, both for yourself and others. Feeling 'fat' isn't a thing—fatness is a physical state, and morally neutral. There is nothing shameful about gaining weight or feeling full.
