We need far fewer Kirks and many more Spocks.
If this nation had any sense, that’s exactly what it would do, with no hesitation. Yet half the people would fight viciously to DEFEND the grift and gouging as somehow righteous and admirable.

The scandals and corruption of the Trump regime make Watergate, Iran-Contra and Teapot Dome look hilariously quaint, yet this country simply has no moral fortitude or coherent character to address it.

Trump has exposed a deep rot in our national fiber and sense of ethical integrity.

The Epstein bill will simply languish and expire on his desk.

We’ve always let them cherry pick the convenient bits they like from the Bible, and now the Constitution, and we rarely challenge them on it.

They lord their smug superiority over us, and we always stay so silent.

Isn’t it time we took all the symbolism back, and stop allowing them social power?

Saw this and it fits:

If a Genie gave Democrats three wishes, they would negotiate down to one, then wish for something they hope the Republicans would like.

After all Pay to Play is not a one party thing.

So, if the Epstein Files get published, what format would you like?

A pop-up book, or scratch-n-sniff?

Funniest out of context sentence I have ever heard:

“Man, ain’t nobody eating wax beans!”

Do you think the release of the Files would be damaging to Trump?

I don’t.

I don’t think he’d lose a single MAGA over it, and he’d just keep on going.

It’s not like the GOP dominated Congress would do anything other than maybe another pointless indictment.

Now that the Epstein Files have been edited, modified and finalized, I suppose it’s okay to swear Grijalva in.

While of course I abhor everything the GOP stands for, and can’t help but be impressed and rather jealous at their consistency and fanatical unity.

Sure, there’s an occasional exception, but the Dems have been so scattered and disorganized for so long it’s practically an expected stereotype.

Those 90 million non voters, who might have supported a newer, smarter Dem party, just said “nah”

The reason people think the Democratic Party doesn't actually stand for anything is because it doesn't.

Dems. Snatching defeat from the jaws of victory

Mitch McConnell was worth tens of millions at the beginning of Trump’s first term. By the end, he was worth hundreds.

None of them think Trump is awesome. But, they will ride his Presidency to extreme wealth. No appeal to morality, decency or statecraft makes any damn difference to them.

It’s unlikely ANY of these Congresspeople have ever been on SNAP, ever had to make a budget, used a can opener, worked overtime, wrote a check for a bill, pumped gas, been fired, applied with a resume, etc.

America’s infatuation with aristocratic leadership is having serious consequences.

The MAGAs aren’t terrified because Mamdani and other Dems aren’t going to do a great job and destroy all of America.

They’re terrified that “socialism” just might turn out to be exactly what this country desperately needs to pull itself out of its self-destructive death-spiral.

8 year olds in China are acing calculus, and I’m watching these kids in here have a screeching meltdown over Fortnite.

Our culture needs to get its shit together and fast.

I get that there is a lot of valid criticism of Dems, but it certainly seems that they were the ONLY moderating force that kept this country functional.

America saw fit to give the GOP total control of all three branches of government & the majority of state governorships.

Nice experiment so far.

The fact that you can simply shop around for the denomination and church that agrees and supports your opinion is pretty revealing.

In bygone eras, shame and embarrassment were normal tools that helped shape behavior. From school kids to politicians to corporations, there was a general sense of what was “acceptable”, and in boundaries.

Has our mania for never acknowledging shame had a detrimental effect on modern society?
