I'm kind of baffled how the "moderates" have apparently all decided to turn against climate policy at once, just as China reaches green electrostate liftoff mode. I thought these people were all about National Greatness and making Hard Choices

Ordered a new #pickleball paddle. It's Honolulu brand, which I've never even heard of before, but reviews say they have a *gigantic* sweet spot and are among the best Gen4 values. Bit pricier than I'd usually go for. Let's see how it works out.

Holy shit. I put some cherry-flavored THC syrup (thank you Tillman's Tranquils) in some Boulevard Brewing quadrupel beer. Neither would affect me much normally on their own, but together ... I'm *wasted*.

Today's #pickleball report: ow. Took two balls to the plums, and hit myself in the face with my own paddle. 🙃 Played well, though. Part of it was switching back to my old Franklin paddle. I won't say the newer Ronbus sucks, but clearly wasn't for me.

Why does Bluesky (web) immediately hide a post when you use "show less" but not if you mute or block? The capability is clearly there. Why not use it uniformly for posts the user has said they don't want to see?

Politics is to morality as engineering is to science. Politics is how morality happens in the real world, at large scale. "It's not politics it's morality" is a cop-out, assuming that the truth just needs to be said and not acted upon. Wrong. Get out there and *fight* for those morals. Politically.

I had to take down the garage camera to recharge, and also debug an exterior light ten feet away. The switches in this house are insane. In a rare moment of non-stupidity, I took down the camera first and pointed it at the light so I could go inside and experiment. Both tasks accomplished. :)

Got a sore throat? That's a salient feature for the latest versions of COVID, but there also seems to be "something else" going around that presents similarly. I've seen multiple reports of people ending up in the hospital with whatever it is. Good time to be a bit extra careful.

If I keep running into this pattern of people saying "whatever" when I ask what to put on a pizza, then complaining about my choices, here's my escalation plan.
(1) Baloney.
(2) Peas.
(3) Captain Crunch.
Don't think I'd stop there BTW.

It just occurred to me that the whole "sbubby" thing was a precursor to AI images with nonsensical text. My takeaway is that it's funnier when humans do it.

The term of art for this in a bankruptcy court is "fraudulent conveyance". Stealing money that isn't yours and then transferring it to a third party to defraud creditors is also a crime. It doesn't eliminate the possibility for judgment on the first charge.

Still COVID negative, so looks like I was exposed but not infected. (My malaise on Saturday was *before* the potential exposure and probably diet-related.) So I guess I'm good for #pickleball in another hour or so. 🎉
