Last week the Trump administration removed two national holidays, MLK’s birthday and Juneteenth) as free entry days to National Parks. Trump decreed that…his birthday would be a free day instead.

Reads like a bad SNL script…

The Freedom of the Air, part of international treaties, guarantees free travel by commercial airlines among countries.
I guess not so much, anymore.
The deranged madman now threatens to blow up commercial airliners flying in and out of Venezuela.

One last question
“Ah, just one more thing, sir. You’re blowing up those boats, saying they’re filled with drugs headed for the US. But then you go and pardon the guy who brought in 400 tons of cocaine. That’s billions of doses. Help me understand that.”

"Finally, President Trump might get a peace prize that would secure his place in history. It is the “Neville Chamberlain Peace Prize”—awarded by history to the leader of the country that most flagrantly sells out its allies and its values to an aggressive dictator."

Awful to hear of the tragic destruction in Portland. It must be really terrible to have to call out troops to this war-ravaged state. Can they protect and rebuild the devastation? No pix/video seen so can some be sent to help us know what supplies to send for the victims of this horrible tragedy?

The key is that it was Halligan ALONE, with a number of DOJ lawyers refusing to go along with the craziness.
They are a model for us. As Tim Snyder posits, “This is the moment that we must respond to, we must be as courageous as we can”
"It was the political appointee Halligan alone, with no prior prosecutorial experience, asking the grand jury to hand up an indictment … a not-so-subtle sign of protest from the Eastern District of Virginia prosecutors over the strength of the case."

Kash must have been a real hit in kindergarten.
Kash Patel is asked about why Ghislaine Maxwell was transferred to a lower security prison shortly after meeting w. Deputy Atty Gen. Todd Blanche

His response included calling Sen Adam Schiff (D-CA) a "fraud" & a "baffoon"

I've never seen that before in a Congressional hearing

I cannot help but think, when putting the pieces together; outlandish searches, flagrant lies in court, threats of ignoring court orders, huge increases in manpower in ICE and other border forces; that the Orange Felon sees ICE as his SS force, backing up a now authoritarian Justice Department
"This means that [Trump's administration] views what they're doing at the DOJ, in terms of who they select to prosecute, as something that is White House policy. ... This is not the way America has conducted prosecutions ever. The cause of justice has to be independent of politics."

This sort of reminds me of….
Totalitarianism in power invariably replaces all first-rate talents, regardless of their sympathies, with those crackpots and fools whose lack of intelligence and creativity is still the best guarantee of their loyalty.

I’m starting a lottery on how soon the pardon is granted…
UPDATE: Hankison has been sentenced to 33 months in federal prison.

Judge Rebecca Grady Jennings “criticized prosecutors for making a ‘180-degree’ turn in its approach to the case and said political factors appeared to have influenced its recommendation for a one-day prison sentence.”
“Ahead of Monday's sentencing, U.S. District Court Judge Rebecca Grady Jennings denied Hankison's motion for a new trial.”

Still waiting to see what Hankison’s sentence will be.

Assistance delayed is assistance denied…
Kristi Noem didn’t approve FEMA rescue teams for over 72 hours after the Texas floods, following a rule she imposed that required her personal sign-off on any operation over $100K.

This is inexcusable. She should resign.

But he made sure to let congressional Republicans know beforehand.

Is there a common thread?
Sen. Alex Padilla (D-CA)
Rep. LaMonica McIver (D-NJ)
Mayor Ras Baraka (D-Newark)
Judge Hannah Dugan (WI)
Controller Brad Lander (D-NYC)

This is not normal. This is not okay. We cannot let them convince us that this is normal or okay.
