From the beginning of the civil rights era until the day he died, MLK reserved one speech almost exclusively for Black audiences.

It was literally about staying "woke."
Everyone Claims to Know 'What MLK Would Have Wanted.' He Actually Told Black People.
What if I told you that Martin Luther King Jr. talked about diversity, critical race theory and staying "woke" more than anything else?

Reminder:

There are people trying to stay alive today who love people who died at Uvalde, Sandy Hook, and Columbine.

Be loving and gracious.

Uplift those who were offered thoughts and prayers in lieu of change every single day. Make space for their grief; don’t use it as a talking point.

Thru you I discovered @marcusluther.bsky.social and love how much I’m learning from your interactions on here. Appreciate you both

“I have lived through pain in all its details…yet I have never hesitated to convey the truth.”

Glory to the martyr Anas Al-Sharif.
Anas Al-Sharif’s last will and testament, written in April: “I entrust you with Palestine—the jewel in the crown of the Muslim world, the heartbeat of every free person... I entrust you with its people, w/its wronged & innocent children who never had the time to dream or live in safety and peace.”
