[2:26PM radar] Widespread snow across the region is causing poor travel conditions just about everywhere. With the snow expected to continue through tonight with bitterly cold temperatures, avoid any unnecessary travel. Be extra prepared if you must venture out.

[9:00AM Radar] Snow continues to spread northwards into the region this morning. While already quite slick, heavier snow south of the NY/PA border will make its way into our area during the afternoon and evening hours tonight with travel conditions further deteriorating.

Widespread, heavy snow is expected across the region Sunday through Monday. Storm total accumulations are expected to be in the 8 to 14 inch range in most areas, with lake enhancement adding some extra snow southeast of Lake Ontario Monday through Monday night.

Light to moderate lake effect snow will continue this morning southeast of Lake Ontario before gradually tapering off this afternoon. Additional accumulations will be 1 to 3 inches, greatest close to Lake Ontario.

A heavy band of lake effect snow will continue downwind of Lake Ontario this late morning and afternoon with heavy snow and blowing snow creating whiteout conditions. Deep snow covered roads will make for very difficult to impossible travel under the band.

Heads Up Niagara Frontier! A dangerous snow squall was located across Niagara Falls and extended into Orleans county at 4pm. The squall will move south into the evening hours. Intense bursts of heavy snow with gusty winds will lead to near whiteout conditions. Slow Down!
