They don’t make them like this anymore. Danzig III How the Gods Kill. Did it up because my friend is moving on from the cafe! He’s starting buying CDs for some reason and he loves the title track (which I introduced him to) so it’ll make a nice going away present.

Those minifigs! I love that they included Guinan. And they nailed Dr Crusher’s hair. The enterprise looks pretty great too tho the 1701-D always looked like a toy to me. And now it is!

I’ve been intending to reread the three Cosmere novels that I started this whole thing with once I’m caught up with stormlight. There were so many spoilers in them but I didn’t know anything about it so they didn’t really spoil anything for me. Especially Sunlit Man!

Went for cardiac ultrasound today. Kind of fun actually. And my doc just called already said everything is normal and good. Which I already suspected because my current status is: alive. And not just alive, kicking ass!

Reread Spock Must Die! By James Blish. Can see why 10yo me liked it. The Klingons get grounded for a thousand years at the end of it by the Organians so not exactly canon. Though they would be nearly free by the time of later seasons of Discovery. Missing the author’s note! Page IX doesn’t exist.

Do you know what’s hard for me? Validating my partner. I can apologize and take responsibility when I mess up but validation has always been a bit mysterious to me. I even have a worksheet! But I’m still terrible. I would like some good resources - preferably 20 years ago but today will work too.

Oilers season starts tonight! Just listening on the radio for me tho. During the teachers strike we’re cutting down on all non essential costs and Sportsnet is almost but not quite essential. And who doesn’t love Bob Stauffer?

What is the purpose - the intent - of locking out the teachers when they are already on strike? Doesn’t it make them look like bad guys even to people who might’ve been on their side?

So yeah. Michelle is on strike starting tomorrow. How long will it last? A day? A week? A month? More? No way to know. But the last five years has been just one uncertainty after another. I guess you get used to it. All I know to do is just be kind and compassionate.

Found some treasures up in my garage loft today. Ayush saw a corrosion of confomity shirt at the concert that he liked and I told him I once drew that logo on an old cassette I had. Found it! And a beat up copy of Spock Must Die.
