He appears to be getting away with doing anything he wants despite having no authority. If he can declare that we are at war, and he’s working on that now, then he will have a framework to cancel elections until further notice. He could even do it without war, who would stop him?

I’ve been crying off and on all day. Grieving, mourning, terrified. He’s technically in as close to hospice care as possible. The next step is a visiting nurse. So far he can still walk to the hospital and take a car to check in the morning after a recommendation. He’s doing well except cancer.

We’re voluntarily checking in to hospital for a course of IV antibiotics tomorrow.
This will probably be a 5 day stay, at least. I’ve packed his change of clothes and some clothes for me. Not sure if I’ll be allowed to stay with him.
His mom is coming and his brother, too.

They’re loud and a bit cranky. Don’t seem to like being disturbed much.

We have a follow up appointment with the internal medicine specialist this morning. This is the doctor that sent us to Belize City over the New Year. Derek needed stents from his kidneys to the bladder. His tumors need to stop growing. Like, now. Response to treatment is what I pray for each day.
