Hopefully this legal challenge to the govt puberty blocker regulations is successful.

Decisions on such matters should be made by health regulators and clinicians, not politicians, and be evidence-based and not driven by political ideology.

Contracting some public hospital planned care to private surgical hospitals is helpful short-term, but not long term.

Any move to an US-style healthcare system would be an absolute disaster. It would be excessively expensive, inefficient, and highly inequitable

BUDGET 2025 is bad news for the health sector. Overall health funding is only being increased by 4.8% which is effectively a cut. Te Whatu Ora gets just a 4.4% increase which does not even cover their current deficit.

POLICE STOP REFERRALS TO DESTINY CHURCH GROUP

The Police advised that they are no longer making referrals to the Destiny Church linked Man Up and Legacy Sisterhood groups, in response to an Official Information Act (OIA) request by the Society.

A survey by the Nurses Society shows current funding cuts and controls are having adverse consequences on health services nationwide. A substantial majority of respondents (77%) reported serious adverse impacts on the health sector.
