Can I offer you a proselytizing pamphlet for these trying times?
Is anything more cringe than when two narcissists publicly air their divorce. 🍿

Tiktok, Twitter, and Instagram alternatives are great, but the biggest thing Meta users need a non-Meta alternative for is private Facebook Groups. @bsky.app

Our neighborhood groups and social groups where we can have collaborative non-public discussions make it hard to leave the platform entirely

Every few years, we sign up for yet another platform just to keep in touch with our friends. Private platforms have locked users in for too long, causing a lack of innovation & competition in social media.

Bluesky aims to fundamentally change this.

I would love to move past all the tyranny into the post traumatic growth stage now, please. 🙏

Daniel Radcliffe is one of my favorite actors but it’s less about his child acting in Harry Potter and more his Steve Buscemi-like willingness to take on increasingly unhinged roles.

If you’re not vibing with a book, do you abandon it, or keep reading to the bitter end just in case it suddenly gets good?

When I was a child, my late January birthday parties were routinely snowed out.

This year I’m outside in the 50° sunshine soaking up vitamin D and watering saplings so they survive the insane drought we are having. The sunshine feels incredible, but the ground is dust and I am unsettled.

If I perish in a high profile accident, anyone who runs to make my death political for their own aims is getting haunted AF

Social media is a whole lot of broadcasting thoughts that would be off putting if you individually texted them to someone.

And then “liking” thoughts you’d be weirded out if anyone walked up to you and uttered.

Saw a bumper sticker that said "PitDad" and thought "it's nice to see parental pride for orchestral theatre kids" before I realized...

The phonograph was a damn revolution!
I think something we don't appreciate enough as a society is that for the majority of human history hearing a particular piece of music was only possible if you could find someone in a public place/event playing it, owned an instrument/knew it yourself, or were rich and could employ a musician.

Should I be stressed that I’m almost 40 and haven’t picked a fruit theme for my kitchen yet.

The story of my life would be the song “Where Have All The Cowboys Gone?” Except instead of cowboys it’s scissors, hairties, and nail clippers.

Does it count as a double Gruber if you see two consecutive Grubers in a row or do both Grubers need to be visible simultaneously?

My husband sent me a text that read:

“Commotion in the ocean
The lonely giant
Elephants cannot dance
Ghoulia and the mysterious visitor”

And I was sitting there trying to interpret his odd poem for way too long before I realized it was just a list of our kids’ overdue library books.

Hey could we get a Twitter-alternative with a 300 character *minimum* for those of us that like to ramble, please?

(And because I said that far too succinctly, I’m going to type more words in order to use up every bit of my character allotment just for the sake of doing so. Thank you. Amen. G’day.🪿
