Hello friends and colleagues! It’s great to see you here. I work at the intersection of public health (infectious disease) and political risk to make the world a better place. I focus on the future, particularly making global health sustainable, AI, venture, and diplomacy for multilateral reform.
But I honestly just want to be in Syria 💚
Excited to share I’ve started law school. From post-conflict health policy to pandemic diplomacy to my patented AI-powered resilience platform, I've always worked to build better systems. I'm thrilled to deepen that work and expand its impact through law. Also, pushing for nine.

I spent 4 years, from in and outside of government, working with so many others to make the world safer from pandemics. We’ve amended the IHRs, secured a high-level meeting at the UN, and established a pandemic fund. Today, the journey ends with the pandemic treaty “Green.” 💚🥹
@who.int Member States made history today by reaching consensus on a proposed #PandemicAccord: www.who.int/news/item/16...

I thank national negotiators for their foresight, commitment and tireless work. We look forward to #WHA78 where countries will consider the agreement for final adoption.

Syrians continue their effort to lift the pause on U.S. foreign assistance to Syria and humanity. Grateful to Raed AlSaleh of the 4x Nobel Peace Prize nominated White Helmets for joining our humanitarian delegation.

U.S. foreign aid is irreplaceable, and we’re better for it. Let’s stick together.

Today, I submitted a summary and assessment of the impacts of Assad regime's war tactics on healthcare and public health to UN colleagues with ideas for reform. I hope it can be a small step towards justice for all Syrians who've suffered immeasurably and a path to Never Again.

In 2025, the 🌍 is not ready to tackle another pandemic threat.

As @theindpanel.bsky.social Co-Chairs found in their last report "No Time to Gamble", the world lacks:
➡️ political leadership
➡️ monitoring and accountability
➡️ equitable access
➡️ preparedness and emergency funding

Are we ready for another pandemic?
After Covid-19, world leaders agreed to work together to strengthen global health systems, but negotiations on a new agreement have stalled

Now that we can speak to each other without fear, I started a family member chat with growing global membership. Everyone circles their place on the family tree to introduce themselves and learn of relatives. The elders send audios saying how much they miss each other.

My heart is so full 🥹💚

Freedom isn't free, and Syrians have paid a heavy price to send Bashar al-Assad and his murderous, authoritarian government packing. Syrians have hard work ahead to rebuild their institutions, economy, and security, but the future of Syria must be theirs to decide.

Justice is a process that often takes a long time. But every step towards it is healing and important. Grateful for this.
⚖️BIG ACCOUNTABILITY NEWS: An indictment has been unsealed in the US today accusing two high-ranking Syrian regime officials of engaging in a conspiracy to commit cruel and inhuman treatment of civilian detainees, including US citizens, during the course of the Syrian war.

I close my eyes to sleep and tears stream down anyway. This regime has stolen our loved ones from us and forced us to navigate political and humanitarian turmoil for decades.

Syrians finally have another choice - another chance. We have to help them.

News reports and posts will never allow people to understand what it means to see Hama liberated from the Assad regime.

We worry tomorrow, we always work to hold all power accountable.

But today, only tears and love for all Syrians…because Hama is free.

Even in America, the extent to which Syrians have been shaped by war is stunning:

-My dad was a Hama Massacre asylee.
-I heard the bombings during the 2006 war
- My family members have been detained, tortured, and killed
-I delivered humanitarian aid in Idlib

It's paralyzing. I need a break.

Only 5 days ago…
Sitting with my cousins today for Thanksgiving, they described the moment the tanks rolled into our city to crush the Syrian uprising, how they quickly packed whatever they could to calmly leave, and their painful asylum process.

These issues feel far away, but they’re not. 💔
