What I’m interested in is the sensation of the paint and the brush on the surface. I’m building paint layers. It’s the cumulative activity rather than the “immediate” sensation of an image.

So someone correct me here but is there a reason Matthew Barney hasn’t had a Venice Pavilion? Like why we do we have to go with “mediocre” white male sculptors? If white male sculptors was the metric? Maybe they tried and he declined? I have so many questions.

Current State. I’ve been told it’s Autumnal looking. I guess so.

It’s funny because I wasn’t thinking about any of that. Only “ ughh not this but that, too fuzzy, too flat, too sharp, not sharp enough, not fuzzy enough, too thick, not thick enough, too bright, not bright enough..” and so on.
