in fact you do not have to show your ID when you board a train in the united states, you only need to show your ticket (which can be purchased without an ID)
Markwayne Mullin defends "show me your papers": "If you're here legally, there's nothing to hide. Most people already are walking around with a government-issued ID, meaning your Real ID or your driver's license. If you go board a train here, you gotta show your ID."

So the feds ARE NOT considering an mRNA vaccine for the flu, which could save countless lives, but ARE backing research into whether horse dewormer can cure cancer, because the right views vaccines as elite and ivermectin as populist.

Cool.

The decision, which shocked company officials, comes as the FDA says it will take a stricter approach to federal vaccine approvals.

When I worked for Reason magazine during Trump's rise to power in 2016, I was explicitly forbidden by the editor in chief from writing about Trump's racism, or the violence and racism at his rallies.

It was a "sideshow," I was told.
Weird. I tried to warn libertarians about Trump

In Britain, Sir Keir Starmer is teetering. He may or may not survive, having unwisely believed an incorrigible liar's account of his dealings with Jeffrey Epstein.

There are no photos of Starmer like this below. No smoking gun.

Yet in the US, #Trump sails blithely on, apparently untouchable.

Why?

And all the more striking because we *barely* integrated. Most organizations remain highly segregated but even minor integration was too much for some folks.
so much of our present misery is just a giant, prolonged backlash to integration

This is why I get nearly all US news from foreign sources, at least as a starting point. Domestic news is too warped, generally speaking, to use as one's first impression.
Regardless of one’s feeling about it, such a public response to a political leader is news, and deliberately failing to mention it is self-censorship. It’s like if reporters agreed not to report on the man who threw a shoe at George Bush. www.theguardian.com/us-news/2026...

This gaslighting serves as marching orders/talking points for the influencers downstream as to how to respond when someone accurately points out the putrid racism. "It's just from the Lion King. Can't you take a joke?" Matt Walsh, Benny Johnson, Tim Pool, maybe even Ben Shapiro will roll this out.
