I’m doing ok financially, but (in Maine) yesterday just two tote bags of groceries cost me $100. Cutting everyone off SNAP after ending other food assistance programs while grocery prices continue their outrageous inflation is a homicidal policy. And it’s completely fucking unnecessary!

#mepolitics Organized transphobia was in effect in Maine yesterday. Some bigots are trying to “protect” girls’ sports with a state referendum. Based on what I saw, I expect they will get it on the ballot. The last I heard there was literally one trans high school athlete in the whole state.

Rep. Jared Golden (Maine’s 2nd district) is not seeking reelection. Good riddance. I don’t think he ever saw a bomb that he didn’t want to pay for, he’s unwavering in supporting the Gaza genocide, and he’s showed zero spine during this fascist moment. The statement he released is trash, too.
