I remember it well. Pretty sure I ran the same distance as Sir Charlie, along the front of the old Main Stand terracing, ‘bantering’ with all the red dogs who’d bought tickets for the home section! 🥳😂

To be fair I think it would take a special type of clown to accept a job over there while the fat Greek is running the show! It’s a circus…

For anyone who enjoyed Detectorists you’ll love the new BBC series from Mackenzie Crook, Small Prophets. We have just binge watched all 6 episodes. Lovely bit of surreal supernatural escapism from all the shitty news going on in the world right now…

Said the same to my mate at the game. I reckon he could prove to be a key player as we head into the final months of the season.

Ditto Enoru…

Agreed. He’s a bit of a downgrade on George Abbot.

Not sure why he keeps getting picked to be honest. Maybe there’s something in the agreement with Spurs that he plays so many minutes and we want to maintain a good relationship with them…? 🤷‍♂️

Brilliant! 👏

Setting off to Nottingham wearing the same (unwashed) Notts shirt I’ve worn to the last 4 matches in an effort to keep the winning run going. Wife not impressed. We could be in separate rooms by the end of the season!

Wouldn’t mind but I’m not even superstitious…. 🤷‍♂️ 😂

I never made it to the Sandpiper (a bit before my time) but I did read this book a couple of years ago. It’s written by one of the members of Nottingham punk band Some Chicken and the venue gets a few mentions. Decent read actually. 👍

We recently watched every single episode back to back. Absolutely brilliant writing. Left me yearning for quality comedy writing like we had in the 80s and 90s. This episode is still hilarious … 😂

Loved the game tonight. A really great team performance and it feels like something is starting to build. Jatta was MOTM for me but everyone put in a shift. Crowd noise was great too. Well worth the midweek drive down to Notts and back. Roll on Fleetwood…

Predictable stadium DJs who all play the same tunes, especially end of season play-offs etc. “Sweet Caroline”…. “Freed from Desire”… “seven nation army” to name a few. Boring. Knob….

Best policy is “don’t bother debating with some Notts fans”. I stopped replying to posts on other Notts forums and message boards a while ago. I just turn up on match days now and enjoy the game like the old days. Forget about it all by Sunday evening. Life is far less stressful… 😂

Reform's opponents need to keep punching this bruise.

It's a real problem for a would-be nationalist leader when they start looking like the lapdog of a hostile power.

This did a lot of damage to Oswald Mosley in the 1930s, and it could become a serious issue for Farage.
It’s a real shame that Nigel Farage is too unwell to do interviews the morning after Donald Trump threatens us with sanctions.

Here he is with “the bravest man he ever met”. He campaigned to make Trump President, and has spent the last year enjoying all the chaos he has caused.

The PM must tell Trump in no uncertain terms: if he goes ahead with these outrageous tariffs and continues to bully Greenland, there’ll be no state visit to the US in April.

The UK must not be a doormat for an extortionist, or reward Trump’s behaviour with the pageantry he craves.
