Garnacho is one of my favourite players. He's exciting, he's a winger which is what Utd should have, he's young. If his end product is so bad how does he have such good g/a numbers? And if we had a forward scoring goals me might have even more.

Unfortunately this. Understand it's a bad hand he's been dealt but we had a very strong squad for this match and there were many strange choices
Waiting until gone 70 minutes to make changes and defenders at wing-back for the entire game feel like serious question marks against the manager

The more you watch it the more it's just lack defending. Very reactive Vs proactive
Think Dorgu is to blame more than Shaw from a defensive point of view. Shaw marking the man he can see, which is Solanke. He points to Johnson and tells Dorgu to take him. He gets close but doesn't track the run or try to stop the run #mufc

Bruno been okay. But he had a chance earlier in the half to cross it but took the shot from tight angle, if that was Garnacho everyone would be screaming. Really not showing much in attack..

Not sure on that goal. Bruno careless in midfield, Shaw very flat footed. Onana wrong footed? Or should he do better?

It's a team of players trying to get match fit, gaining PL experience + usual misfits. Then you've got no one wanting to get injured. Wrong mentality.

It looks like a game of two halves but really there's pre-subs and post-subs. Nice to have some depth on the bench, good timing

Been years and years since I was at Old Trafford for a competitive match. But there on Friday you do get an understanding of the performance you don't get thru TV.
Confidence looks shot. At times it felt like we were out numbered in attack. Think that's tactic and personnel related.

I think it was a fairly standard case of the lino being distracted by someone v obviously offside in the middle (Hojlund?) and that distorting his near side perception
No idea how the linesman missed that offside (although his thrown in fuck up was a warning he might not be very good with seeing stuff). Not complaining, obviously, but he shouldn't need VAR to see that - a consequence of officials being trained not to give decisions and rely on technology instead?
